COURSE DESCRIPTION

SWIM

The 1.8km swim heads from beach at Les Pavilions Hotel, and is a fully protected lagoon swim.

CYCLE

The 55km cycle leg transitions the triathlete from the lagoon onto the road for a scenic ride.  After only a few kilometers, the course heads toward the Chameral Pass of Mauritius Island, a climb of nearly 350m above sea level. The top of this climb presents one of the most spectacular views of the island with blue skies, multi-coloured mountains, and a glimpse of the tranquil lagoon below.  The decent is fast & fun, along the Chemin Grenier, then following the coast, crossing through the Bel Ombre village, and heading back to the transition area.

RUN

The 12km run comprises two 6km loops, and is as picturesque as the cycle leg, passing red mangroves at the foot of Morne Mountain, and running along the water line of this pristine Mauritius beach and finishing on the golden sands of the Les Pavilions Hotel.
